Dear Readers,

As we approach the end of January 2021, we would like to express our gratitude to all of you. Thanks to your continuous engagement, the viewership of articles on Indic Varta reached considerably high numbers in just a matter of weeks. We now invite you to take a glimpse at our most popular articles this month.

Let us begin with “Divide and Rule”. The British Colonial Policy on Caste, in which Devendra Swarup informed us that because the British failed to divide Indian society in their bid to abolish caste, they resorted to the policy of “divide and rule”.

Then, in What makes ‘Gods’ appear ‘devilish’?, Ram Swarup Ji explained why some gods appear to have devilish qualities, and why should a being who has such qualities be called a god? And why should he have so much hold?

Moving ahead, a brilliant review of The Bhagvad Gita for Millenials by Bibek Debroy was penned by Jataayu Bengaluru who told us that this book is not yet another translation of the Gita since it is written in a refreshingly unique style.

This was followed by another book review by Deepika Sharma, a young scholar from Bhopal. She published an insightful book review of The Female Brain by Louann Brizendine, in which she writes that science has finally arrived where humanity already had: gender is not a myth or social construct.

Another remarkable piece titled Communist Ideology destroys Social Order, the first in a series of excerpts taken from Alexander Solzhenitsyn’s A Warning to the West, shatters the myth that communists detest any form of violence. This is particularly significant since we often see many socialists and communists, in public spaces, appealing for human rights and clamouring for “peace”.

January 2021 also witnessed a historic moment in American politics with the unruly “siege” of the Capitol Hill by the supporters of President Donald Trump. As a backlash, Trump was immediately banned from all social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. This prompted us to publish an excerpt titled Silicon Valley Is NOT Morally Neutral from Douglas Murray’s bestselling book, The Madness of Crowds.

On the whole, we hope you enjoyed reading each of our articles. We are committed to bringing you the most relevant and insightful content. Stay connected and stay safe !

Warmest Regards,

Dr. (des.) Ankur Kakkar
