Dr. Nagesh Bhandari is a Doctor by profession with a specialization in Spine Surgery from the globally acclaimed Spine Center Rehabilitations Krankenhaus, Germany, under the guidance of Prof J. Harms, the world famous Spine Surgeon. He has significantly contributed to the development of indigenous and novel spinal instrumentation systems, thus contributing to the cost-effective treatment procedures in his chosen field.
Koenraad Elst (Leuven 1959) distinguished himself early on as eager to learn and to dissent. He obtained his MA degrees in Sinology, Indology and Philosophy. After a research stay at Benares Hindu University he did original fieldwork for a doctorate on Hindu nationalism, which he obtained magna cum laude in 1998. As an independent researcher he earned laurels and ostracism with his findings on hot items like Islam, multiculturalism and the secular state, the roots of Indo-European, the Ayodhya temple/mosque dispute and Mahatma Gandhi's legacy. He also published on the interface of religion and politics, correlative cosmologies, the dark side of Buddhism, the reinvention of Hinduism, technical points of Indian and Chinese philosophies, various language policy issues, Maoism, the renewed relevance of Confucius in conservatism, the increasing Asian stamp on integrating world civilization, direct democracy, the defence of threatened freedoms, and the Belgian question. Regarding religion, he combines human sympathy with substantive skepticism. Until recently his books on Ram Janmabhoomi vs. Babri Masjid controversy were the only ones representing the Hindu point of view. Right now he is working as an Adjunct Professor at Indus University.
He is a post-graduate in Management as well as Literature. Since 2004 he has been engaged in working with various facets of Indic issues and studies. He is credited with having started the trend of recording Talks on Indic issues while working as the Secretary of India Inspires Foundation. At CIS he is responsible for channelizing ideas and providing creative direction for achieving goals of the Center. He is also the curator of Dharma vs. Religion Project
"Shilpa Sharma is a postgraduate in literature and has a graduate degree in Botany with distinction. She has teaching experience of more than ten years in various domains of sciences and its interconnection with IKS. She has designed and taught various modules on English as a second language for many years. She is passionate about foundational ideas of IKS and specifically exploring biological intelligence with respect to Indic wisdom."
Abheepsa Vyas works as an Academic Associate at Indus University's Centre for Indic Studies, Ahmedabad. Having her background in English Literature, her role continues to switch between an educator and a researcher. At the moment, she is pursuing her PhD in African American literature.
"Mr. Kapil Ketan Ganju completed his graduation in Law in 2014 and master's in History in 2021. He is well versed in Geopolitics, Geography, Law, History, Agriculture. He has an expertise in the theological and philosophical aspects of Islam, Christianity, Communism. Since 2018, he is a Research Associate at the CIS, Indus."

"Dr. Prakash Kumar Poddar, belongs to Katihar (Bihar). He He has completed his bachelor and master’s degree in Hindi Literature from Delhi University. He has done his M.Phil. and Ph.D. in Hindi Literature from Central University of Gujarat, Gandhinagar and Awarded UGC national fellowship during the research. He has published a book (Garimammay shabdatit puno) and many articles in UGC listed/peer reviewed journal and edited books. His deep interest is in reading and exploring the religious text and literature, translation, playing Chess etc. "

Furthermore, she has augmented her scholarly pursuits with specialized diploma courses in the intricate nuances of the Indian education system. Complementing her formal education, she has actively engaged in numerous seminars, workshops, and a nationally recognized Faculty Development Programme, enriching her understanding of this profound domain. Nidhi is committed to continuously enhancing her expertise and insights in this field. Her aspiration is to contribute meaningfully to our collective understanding of Indian knowledge systems and their broader societal significance.
Ritul Basu is Research Associate at Centre for Indic Studies, Indus University, Ahmedabad. She has graduated from the Institute for Excellence in Higher Education, Bhopal with Honours in Political Science. She is currently pursuing LLB from Rabindranath Tagore University, Bhopal. She has worked with Abhedya Education and Welfare Society, a social service organisation based in Bhopal, which helped her to get to work in remote tribal villages near Bhopal. She is interested in the History of Freedom Movement of India, Geopolitics and Indian Thought
Nrapesh Shah is Social Media Manager at Centre for Indic Studies, Indus University, Ahmedabad. He designs graphics for social media, creates and schedules posts in a regular manner and handles the responsibility of publicizing the work of the Centre for Indic Studies (CIS) through social media. It is said that right from childhood, it is known what person will become when he grows up. Nrapesh has been living in the business world since childhood. At an age when a child learns the tricks of a game, Nrapesh was learning the tricks of the computer. That is why, if he is assigned the responsibility of any software or technical work, then by learning and researching, he performs the work with such perfection as if it was not done by a novice but by a professional.
Montu Jain is a cinematographer working with various film projects. He has experience of more than 10 years. At CIS he is responsible for videography and editing.
Ankit Porwal is a travel photographer who also specializes in Portfolio Design. He has been active in the field for about ten years. At CIS he is responsible for photography, videography and editing.
Ramji Sharma is the assistant videographer, helping the technical team at the CIS.
Sameer Pande, a lecturer at the Centre for Indic Studies in Ahmedabad, holds a bachelor’s degree in History and a master’s degree in Political Science. He has successfully qualified for the UGC NET/JRF in both Political Science and International Relations. Currently, he is pursuing his PhD, focusing on Political Awareness and Political Participation in Bharat. His learning passion lies in the fields of Political Science, International Relations, Diplomacy, and History.
Dr. Subodhkant Mishra, Assistant Professor at the Centre for Indic Studies, Indus University in Ahmedabad, holds a Ph.D and bachelor’s degree in Sanskrit from Prestigeus Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi and a master’s degree in Sanskrit Dharmashashtra from University of Delhi. He has successfully qualified for the UGC NET/JRF in both Sanskrit and Hindu Studies. He was also doctoral fellow at Indian council of philosophical research (ICPR) New Delhi. His learning passion lies in the fields of Sanskrit, Smrities, Dharmashastra and Hindu studies.
Tirtha (a.k.a. Tirthendu Ganguly) is a poet, author, and researcher. He has penned a collection of hundred-and-eight love poems titled Firefly of Love (ISBN: 9781794652149) and he is now working on his next book, Tales from MahÄÂbhÄÂrata, a collection of fifty short stories. His poetry, stories, and articles have appeared in multiple national and international journals, magazines, and conference proceedings. He is a Ph.D. Research Scholar in the Department of English at Banaras Hindu University and he has recently submitted his doctoral thesis titled, The Ontology and Aesthetics of Bhakti in the Hagiographies of Ã…Å¡rÄ« Caitanya. At present, he is working as an Assistant Professor in the Centre for Indic Studies at Indus University. Previously, he held the post of the Editor-in-Chief at The Indian Rover, a multilingual literary magazine, for two years. He was a teaching instructor of communicative skills at the Institute of Agricultural Sciences (IAS, BHU). He also has a few laurels to his credit. He is the recipient of the Research Excellence Award (2020), India Book of Records (2021), and Kalam Ratna Award (2021). In 2022, he was bestowed the honorary title of Kentucky Colonel by the Governor of Kentucky (USA). His academic journey reflects a unique blend of technical and cultural expertise. Currently, He dedicates his research to exploring the Ramayana, Mahabharata, Puranas, Natyashastra, and Folk Culture. His work delves into the profound narratives and cultural heritage of these ancient texts, aiming to preserve and elucidate their significance in contemporary times. His interdisciplinary approach bridges the gap between traditional knowledge and modern scholarship, contributing to a deeper understanding of Hindu culture and literature.
Dr. Dharmil Bhikhabhai Patel completed his PhD from Dep't of Labour Welfare, Gujarat University in 2018. He completed Master Degree in Labour Welfare from Gujarat University in 2006. He is graduate in Commerce (B.Com.) as well as in Law (LL.B) . He has been serving to Indus University / Centre for Indic Studies as an Assistant Professor since 2017. Prior to Indus University, he had served to various organisations of the field of Corporate, Consultancy firms, NGO and education. He is interested in Indian Knowledge System.
