Dr. Shikha is Assistant Professor at Centre for Indic Studies, Indus University, Ahmedabad. She has a background in archaeology that has helped her to imbibe our Indic perspective with factual evidence. Her topic of research is “Phenomena of Urbanization in Middle Ganga Plain- from 600-300 BCE”. Phenomenology helps one to go beyond material culture and helps to understand the invisible dimension of urban process. It constitutes socio-economic as well as our Dharmic perspective to dig deeper into life. She is exploring various different components of ancient India’s urban as well as rural aspect.
